The University Centre Šlapanice is a purpose-built facility with a long tradition of providing services in lifelong learning. Apart form educational courses, we host conferences organized by Masaryk University and other academic societies and trainings held by Czech companies. The University Centre also provides accommodation for clients, e.g. during important events of Brno Trade Fairs.
The University Centre Šlapanice consists of two interconnected buildings. The first building provides accommodation with reception, while in the other building, there are classrooms, conference rooms and a kitchen with a dining room. Both the buildings have recently been reconstructed and their location provides quiet atmosphere for our guests.
in Šlapanice u Brna. The connection from the Brno Main Railway station is by trolleybus no. 31 to the final stop (Kalvodova) in Šlapanice. The journey takes approx. 25 minutes. It is necessary to buy a 3-zone ticket. If travelling on the D1 motorway in the Prague - Brno direction, take EXIT 201 Brno-Slatina letiště (airport), direction Brno-Slatina, Šlapanice. We offer 27 single rooms, 18 twin rooms, 2 studios, 1 room with a wheelchair access. Overall capacity is 72 beds. All rooms are equipped with a bathroom with a shower and a toilet, a desk, TV and internet connection.

The University Centre Šlapanice offers a perfect space for seminars, conferences, trainings, company events etc. We provide classrooms, club rooms and council rooms of different arrangements with capacities of 10 - 60 seats for these purposes. There is modern technical equipment - a PC, a data projector, an overhead projector, a video recorder, a CD player, a flipchart with appurtenances. One study room with the capacity of 12 seats is designed for computer science education.
The University Centre Šlapanice is an accredited ECDL testing centre. Further information about ECDL certificates, test dates etc.
To make your stay even better, we offer refreshments, a gym, copy service (A4/A3), garden for you to relax in, and a car park.
The town of Šlapanice is located 10 km in the south-east direction from Brno, the South Moravian centre of culture, social life and sport. You can visit the Museum of the Brno Region (Muzeum Brněnska), there are also several restaurants, a wine bare and a confectionery. You can also enjoy a game of tennis in our indoor tennis court. The town of Šlapanice is a gateway to the conservation area of the Battlefield of Slavkov (Austerlitz). Among the most interesting places you will find is the Slavkov Castle, the Žuráň Hill with the memorial and the map of the Battle of the Three Emperors, The Memorial of Peace, the building of Old Post Office (Stará pošta) with stylish accommodation and food. The caves in the Moravian Karst are also worth a visit.
