Dorm reservations for next year launched

The current residents of MU dormitories have received their confirmations for dormitory accommodation for the next academic year, following the first two rounds of reservations. They could pre-order their current dormitory bed between 7–22 May; and 2,047 students chose to do so who now have their deposits paid and accommodation contracts signed.

“All current dormitory tenants who applied for their bed for the upcoming academic year were approved. We are seeing a slight increase in the number of reservations submitted by the current resident, but percentage-wise, the ratio of bookings has not changed much compared with last year,” said Head of Residence Management Renata Pavlicová, adding that the current rules stipulate that only active full-time students already residing at the dormitories could apply as long as they do not exceed their study by more than one year.

The second round was open to students who lived in the dormitories in the fall of 2025 but have since gone on a study programme abroad. A total of 35 applications were considered.

Starting on 14 July, the next round of reservation will open for foreign students coming for their Erasmus or Degree programme. There are 800 beds assigned for this purpose. First-year students will have to mark 21 July in their calendar as the reservation system will open for them at 10 a.m. These reservations must be made online and only after the first-year student registration which includes login data for the electronic reservation.

The exact schedule of dormitory reservations for the next academic year can be found on the ACS website.
