Dining around the campus: students can look forward to special offers

Students, teaching staff and employees of the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Sports Studies and CEITEC can look forward to improved dining options in the Bohunice campus as of July. Following the long-planned closure of Academic Restaurant in the Campus Square Brno shopping centre on 30 June, three third-party establishments on the university campus premises will continue to provide their services.

Sladkého and Mánesova open for summertime accommodation

Emergency renovations of roofing at the Vinařská dormitory damaged by last year’s hailstorm have called for changes in the planned summertime operations of MU’s dormitories. According to an updated schedule the summertime accommodation will be available at Mánesova and Sladkého, with 730 beds in total.

Reservation of dormitory beds for next year underway

Students currently staying at MU’s dormitories have completed the first two rounds of reservations of beds for the upcoming academic year. A total of 1,671 students have applied. Foreign students arriving for the Erasmus and Degree programmes will have 741 beds at their disposal. The reservation system for future first-year students will open on 6 August.

New furniture at Bří. Žůrků; new roof at Vinařská

Bří. Žůrků residents can look forward to bespoke furniture; the damaged roof at Vinařská will be renovated and the two-year reconstruction at Kounicova is well underway. These are currently the three largest renovation projects at MU dormitories. All started renovations will be continued in the dormitory areas even during the summer holidays.
