European Sustainable Development Week at MUNI

Conferences, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, movie screenings or “open days”: the list of activities and events taking place across Europe during the annual European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW) is long but interesting. The Czech Republic joined in 2015. This year, for the first time, Masaryk University will be an active participant.

Dormitory councils: much needed assistance and own ideas brought to life

As soon as the new academic year is underway, the Accommodation and Catering Services will announce a new round of dormitory council elections. There are no dormitory councils at the dorms at Vinařská, Mánesova, Sladkého a Bří Žůrků. Due to the ongoing two-year reconstruction of the Kounicova dormitory the elections will not take place there.

Dormitories: increased comfort and new equipment after renovations

This summer saw the completion of four-month renovations of the Mánesova dormitory. Students can look forward to modern rooms with new furniture. Minor renovations took place at the Komárov dormitory and the Vinařská dormitory is coming up next in September – with new windows, thermal insulation and façade.
