Summertime dormitories: Bří. Žůrků and Mánesova
Two dormitories – Bří. Žůrků in Komárov and Mánesova in Královo Pole – will remain open to ensure the 2025 summertime operations for MU students.
The first round of reservations of dormitories for the 2025/2026 academic year is well underway for the current residents. From the first day (which was 5 May) a total of 1,654 students have submitted their applications.
“All current residents who have expressed their interest have been approved. According to the Accommodation Board rules of procedure applications were approved for students who are already staying at their dormitory and are full-time students with no more than one extra year in their length of study overall,” Head of Residence Management Renata Pavlicová explained.
The second round of reservations is available to students returning from their programmes abroad. A total of 100 beds have been assigned to students who had been staying at a dormitory during the fall semester before their departure for their programme in the spring semester.
Starting on 14 July is the third round of applications for foreign students arriving for their Erasmus or Degree programme; the number of beds in this category has been increased to 1,000. First-year students will have the opportunity to apply since 10:00 a.m. on 4 August following the completion of their enrolment procedure during which they shall receive their login data for electronic reservation.

The Accommodation and Catering Services (ACS) aims to improve the comfort of its residents, and will continue to do so in the final weeks of the academic year and during the summer. Apart from regular summertime maintenance several scheduled reconstruction projects have started.
